Week 28 of your Pregnancy

Congratulations! You have reached the final stage of your pregnancy – the third trimester.

Pregnancy Week 28The skeleton and muscles are strengthening and the fine lanugo hair is also starting to disappear.

The folds and grooves of your baby’s brain continue to develop.

Your baby now weighs about 2 pounds, 2 ounces (1 kg) and measures about 15 inches (38 cm).

If your baby should be born this week, he/she will have a good chance of survival.

What to Expect

You may find that by the end of the day your ankles and feet may be getting a bit swollen, but they should be back to their normal in the morning.

Squatting and bending down is getting harder, so think about investing in a set of extendable calipers for picking up things.

You’ll probably need some clothes which are designed with a pregnant belly in mind. Time for some retail therapy in the maternity wear section.
